Description
The original Turf Inn was built in 1810, becoming a private residence until 1854 when the country bought it. In 1920 it was converted into accommodation for stable lads and served the Turf until it was purchased and converted into the Grand St Leger Hotel. Now restored to a level of elegance and comfort that surpasses even its former glory, the Grand St Leger opened its doors in spring 1984 and stands ready to welcome you-to-day. Doncaster is busily trying to attract new investment into the Borough. With nearly three million square foot of new development taking place last year, a tour around the Town is an enlightening, and fascinating experience.
Doncaster is well known for the Doncaster Racecourse - where tradition and excellence meet. |
