Thorverton Arms

A warm welcome awaits you at the Thorverton Arms, a former 16th century coaching inn, located in the centre of the beautiful village of Thorverton in mid Devon. We are in the heart of the English countryside and yet only seven miles from Exeter (handy for the University) and eight miles from the local town of Tiverton, making it the ideal touring base for the north and south Devon beaches, Exmoor and Dartmoor.

The Thorverton Arms is located in a great area for walking and cycling. We are actually on the Land's End to John O'Groats route. We also offer secure overnight storage for bicycles.

The Thorverton Arms boasts a cosy bar, with a real fire in the winter, where you will find a large selection of traditional ales, wines and spirits, a separate award-winning restaurant that serves classic home-made British food, a large car park and six very comfortable en-suite letting rooms.

Our large south facing garden and patio boasts one of the oldest Wisterias in Devon - the ideal place to enjoy a quiet meal or drink during summer months.

We can cater for large parties, including weddings.
